All that happened in a few seconds, the idea behind the statement was clear. I just didn't find it poignant or funny. Maybe twenty years ago it may have been. I dunno.
It has become so passe, or maybe because for many people that fact is not so 'unknown'.I also don't know of anyone beside Angelina Jolie that is actively doing this. It also assumes that the reason that Angelina Jolie adopts 'brown' kids is because she seeks public approval.
