Also, a big nod of appreciation goes to San Diego fire and rescue workers who got to the scene quickly and contained the fire. Just to give you an idea of the danger, the block where the plane crashed is a 30-40 year old neighborhood with densely packed houses and mature plant growth. We are supposed to have a return of warm, dry Santa Ana conditions tomorrow. If that plane had gone down on a hot, dry day with 20 knot winds, we would be having a whole different conversation right now.
