Michael, Ben and everyone else. That was intended, (and obviously failed miserably) to be a humorous comment.
I am sorry if it was taken as any type of slight. I deeply respect Michael's faith. I would never knowingly insult his convictions. They are great part of who and what he is in my mind. I was shooting for a simple (and cheap) play on words. Tongue in cheek. Trying to lighten my tone and mood. It never occurred to me it would/could hurt. I find myself apologizing on this list more than any other I have joined. I will try to watch my words and statements more closely in the future. And Ben, thanks for calling me on it. Truly sorry, Jerry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/15/02 12:28PM >>> Jerry- I think your comment to Michael "> As for the word of God, is He talking to you again? Congrats." was tacky, rude, and uncalled for. You took a devout, fine person, and more than implied he's hearing voices in his head. He's referring to written scripture, which he believes came from God. IMHO you should apologize to Michael for your comment. -Ben > -----Original Message----- > From: Jerry Johnson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, April 15, 2002 8:58 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Religious Jews (was: Circumcision article link) > > > Sure, > > But I don't hold the Beatles responsible for Manson's > actions, or Jody Foster for Reagan's injuries, or the dogs of > New York City for anything the Son of Sam did. > > Incitement to violence. > > As for the word of God, is He talking to you again?
