and trash homes and landscape, befouling waterways, killing wildlife
and leaving a big toxic mess behind.

My favorite (in that nauseating want to slap spokespeople sort of way)
bit was the TVA spokesdude:

Although video from the scene shows dead fish on the banks of the
tributary, he said that "in terms of toxicity, until an analysis comes
in, you can't call it toxic."

Right, right..don't mind the dead fish and the sludge, its not toxic
until we tell you its toxic.
