Cut a hole that's not so big the speaker itself won't conceal and then put some plugs in the wall to give strength when you screw the speaker to the wall.. Or cut the hole big enough that a faceplate will hide it. I have cut no more then a 1" hole and used plumbers fish tape or hanger to find the wire, just put a little tape on the end so its not so sharp.

I did actually get a schematic from the builder, but found out from one of my neighbors that the schematics are wrong. They actually tore their walls up before realizing the schematics were wrong (by about 10 feet in one case). That neighbor called Geek Squad and got to pay for some drywall fixin's. So really I have the locations of the wires, I just need to determine the best way to get them out of the wall without tearing a hole large enough for my hand to fit through, and then how best to conceal the hole and wires.
