Really, all you need is a network to connect it to in order to stream the video. Most of the Slingboxes require a direct Ethernet connection, but I used an Ethernet bridge without too much trouble. Yes, you can use it with a recorder (I assume you mean a Tivo or other DVR) and no, it doesn't matter if the TV is HD compatible, the Slingbox doesn't really interact with the TV. Also, keep in mind that while some Slingboxes can handle HD signals, generally the bandwidth can't handle that much data and it's not going to make that much, if any, difference in the picture quality you get while using it. If you just have a single input device you want to control the Slingbox Solo is probably going to do the job just fine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:283685 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
