What OS is she using? Some of the pack-in tools are pretty damn versatile. The Vista photo viewer let's you flip, rotate, crop, adjust exposure/color, fix red eye and provides a decent "auto adjust" that works well with many digital pics. When you're viewing the file in the default file viewer press the "fix" button in the context bar. It's a little pricier than you want but I've always loved Paint Shop Pro (now owned by Corel). They've got some truly amazing stuff in there (including the absolute best red-eye reduction tool ever). There's a ton of "one click" tools and all the capability to do more advanced stuff when you need it (it's fully compatible with PS and Corel files - including layers, objects and other advanced features).
