I'm curious, other than treasuries, what other forms of loans on national
debt are you writing about?

I also think it's ludicrous that any country would not accept US Dollars,
the de facto world currency.  I admit it's no longer unquestionably the
world currency but it still retains that title.  The only other contender
is the Euro but the EU, because of its short existence, doesn't have the
track record of the Fed.
