being made and with the research that could have been done over the last 70
or so years think where it could be.

It's illegal primarily because two very powerful industries don't want
it legal:  pharmaceuticals, because it's just great medicine, and
chemical because hemp is a direct competitor to nylon, which was the
driver behind the original laws against marijuana.
