I think it would depend on where you are. There is a huge sign in the building where I have my music studio that says "No Tobacco Smoking in the Hallway." Most of us get fairly PO'd if someone stands around with a cigarette and pollutes our space. We don't care about the pot smoke. It doesn't stink as much, and the contact high is nice.
