I've finally figured out the difference between us: * I let the study of facts drive my politics. * You let the study of the politics drive your facts. You're a smart talented guy Robert, but you've fallen into the trap of letting the narrative drive the facts. Just say no. Because the facts are - ACCORDING TO REPUBLICANS - this bill is AT MOST 2% pork. AT MOST! How would feel about a sandwich vendor that promised you a sandwich that was a BONANZA OF PORK! and when you get it, it only has 2% pork. You'd probably sue. So stop repeating bullshit because it fits a narrative you like. Because when you do that it overshadows the other good analysis you have: The Whitehouse abdicated responsibility for the crafting of this to Pelosi. Now maybe that's not fair due to the fact that they're trying to build a cabinet, deal with a start-up government, and have had communications problems. But, hey, life at fair and they volunteered. Obama fucked up leadership on this bill, and Pelosi fucked him. Obama's also lost control of the politics and the narrative. But that said, it's only 2 fecking percent of the bill and it looks like there's a consensus. So Robert: return to the facts, dude. Don't pick a narrative and then select facts - or make them up - to fit it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:287678 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
