Ohhhh ... sorry ... you're screwed by the pesky facts again. You see all summer Richard Clarke (remember him?) was "running around with his hair on fire" warning that AQ was about to unleash a "monumental attack". In fact on Aug 6th Bush's daily brief titled "Bin Laden Determined To Strike in US" warned about an AQ attack inside the US. I mean the title itself is kind of warning huh? Now according to you, Pres Clinton left national security in a shambles. So why would Bush go on vacation for a MONTH after hearing all of these warnings and with the mess he was left? And Bush didn't seem too worried about AQ on Aug 29th, 2001 when he gave a speech to the American Legion titled "President Discusses Defense Priorities." Here were the priorities: * boosting soldiers' pay * abandoning the Anti-Ballistic-Missile Treaty Not a thing there about UBL, terrorism, or the Middle East. But then of course we know from Sec Rice that terrorism was never even discussed by the President and his cabinet until Sept 4th. So your little narrative is odd because for a guy who you claim was left a national security mess and was warned about a imminent attack on the US ... why did Bush spend 54 days at his ranch, 38 days at Camp David, and four days at the Bush compound in Kennebunkport? In other words, Bush spent 40 percent of his presidency up until 9/11 on vacation. That doesn't seem like the actions of a guy worried about national security. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:288019 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
