<on soapbox> I've never gotten the concept that religion and science can't work very well together. Why wouldn't God have the foresight to create beings that can evolve and adapt as the planet changes. Why wouldn't God plant a seed (Australopithecus) and allow it to grow and change as it's circumstances did (Homo-Sapiens).
I'm a firm believer in the big bang, and the expanding universe theory, but that initial mass had to get there somehow.
