Exactly...and that's where faith comes in. Science hasn't shown how
something can come from nothing, so it can't be used to prove God....or to
even study God. So at this point, to believe in an eternal God requires
faith.

If science proves that something CAN come from nothing, that doesn't
necessarily disprove God, it could simply suggest that God was the FIRST
thing created.

Your question is one that is central to faith. Faith that God exists, and
that he is and can be "eternal"...and that is an understanding that is not
attainable by humans. It's beyond our understanding. Which is to say, it is
beyond science.
