But, while all that pointlessness goes on, society actually moves forward, and does it properly. Companies and individuals are recycling more. Businesses are operating cleaner. Cars are being built and purchased that get better mileage and run cleaner. On and on. Even as the doomsayers and the do-nothing's fight a pointless war of words on talk radio, we're already doing what needs to be done. As usual, "the people" quietly solve what a "person" can't even seem to understand.
