Better than the HTC,Sony Ericsson Xperia, BlackBerry Storm? Android
G1/G2....the upcoming Palm Pre?

The iPhone is a nice toy, and it does many things well. But it also
locks you down and locks you in ,to Apple's revenue generating
dynamics. For instance, you can't set your own ringtone.
Something as simple as that, you're prevented from doing. All
applications are screened by Apple, and we've already seen some useful
ones rejected.
There is a lack of Adobe Flash support, so you chop out nearly all
websites on the internet now that use some form of rich media and show
video.

I'm waiting on the newer phones around the corner, especially the
Android based phones, before making a decision on which smartphone to
get. Apple is simply too restrictive with the iPhone and seem more
concerned about locking down the unit than on progressing it.
