I have had the following cars: 1979 Ford Pinto Station Wagon, from 1993 to 1994... Ending mileage, 102,000 1984 Honda CRX, from 1994 to 1999. Ending mileage.. 95,000 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, from 1999 to 2002. Ending mileage... 56,000 2003 Chevy Tahoe, from 2002 to present. Current mileage... 103,000
By far, the best car... Chevy Tahoe. With the Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was in the shop every other month. Spent thousands on repairs. A big piece of crap. With the Chevy Tahoe, with only thing I had to replace was the A/C condenser. No mechanical issues at the moment. A few ding and starches and it does burn about 1/2 a quart of oil per 5,000 miles, but that is expected. -----Original Message----- From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 09, 2009 9:23 AM To: cf-community Subject: Re: Interesting Auto Sales Month > Grant wrote: > > WooHoo! A few years back we got free use of a new Subie for about 9 months - I think it was a 2005. It was a well optioned version of their wagon thing and we both liked it quite a bit. Living in MN we prefer to have awd sedans and that pretty much means Subie or Audi, although some other brands have decent - but inferior imo - awd systems. Anyway, my only complaint about the Subie wagon was that when it got below 10^F the transmission seemed to stick a little until it warmed up. For example if you were accelerating away from a stop light it would hold the gear quite awhile and then when it shifted it was quite a clunk. While this behavior only lasted about 10 min after cold start-up it was annoying. If it's a "feature" I can't believe that it's easy on the transmission. Felt a little like neutral-drops I used to do on beaters when I was 16. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:291102 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
