I have to say I'm kinda sick of the this-means-that when it comes to greetings these days: There's the fist bump, the fist pound, the high fivin white guy, and the multi-shake. There's the 2 hander, the forearm grabber,and the elbow grabber. And then, my nemesis, the Mug or man-hug. This the shake with the transition to shoulder bump and back slap that resembles a hug. And then with the "firm handshake" people go WAY overboard. Like they're trying to crush your hand. WTF? And then there's the Euro-shake which is more like holding hands where you fold your fingers at ~90 degrees to your palm before the shake which I personally find MUCH more pleasant than the crusher. And the Euro cheeky smooch. The Asian bow (and all it's thousands of variations just in Japan) The Indian bow. The German shake-n-head nod.
