In your opinion they deserve contempt. Others might think think bleeding heart liberals would deserve contempt, or Muslims or Jews or Canadian Immigrants.
You saying they deserve contempt does not mean that they in fact do. I would also like to add that, in my opinion, those who are masters of hypocrisy would also deserve said contempt.
