The Battlefield Band, an internationally touring band of Scots, used to play
a yearly concert in the Frank Lloyd Wright church on the Plaza here in KC.
The church, if you aren't familiar with it, along with Wright's awesome
design, has a "trinity light", which is basically 3 powerful spotlights
constantly pointing to the heavens. It's meant to represent the Holy
Trinity.

Anyway, listening to the bagpipes, whilst staring up at swirling snowflakes
in the trinity lights, with the famous Plaza Lights as your
backdrop......well......that's about as close to heaven as ya get.

The bagpipes are mournful and reflective.....and yet celebratory. Few
instruments have such range of emotions.
