You might want to believe that, but it simply isn't true. Moreoever, it is irrelevant to the current question - are we going to let the country go bankrupt? Because that is where we are headed, and all the hysterics and and wringing about the people who will be left behind isn't going to change that. In fact, if we let the country go bankrupt, millions of additional people will be at risk of falling into desperate poverty.
