There are some things Bush does so well, and some things he does so
terribly... I think Bush's record on the environment is probably his weakest
point and that's where Gore's first real attack (attack is to strong a
word...) on him was, and we saw Bush's approval ratings finally start to
come down...I think probably because of Gore's visibility in the last few
weeks. 69% isn't anything to sneeze at either way.

I definitely side with Gore on the environmental issues, but then I see Bush
doing an awesome job on the foreign policy side. Bush could easily call
Putin, Abdullah, and Blair personal friends, and he obviously commands
personal respect from them. On the economic side for all of the dotcom
bombs, the new advance GDP numbers cames out today, and they are awesome,
just like last years numbers. The "irrational exuberance" is gone, but the
US economy is incredibly strong right now, maybe even more solid than it was
during the late 90's. I'm just saying that, for me, the environment is not
enough to give bad marks on the whole to Bush administration yet, and I
don't think that it's enough for most people. However, I'd put money on the
Democrat's making a killing in the Congressional elections....
