Shalom. : ) So -- on a lighter note (trying to cheer myself up) -- my daughter Hinda Tova just turned 6 today (her Hebrew birthday, that is. Her English birthday is May 4th). I was so happy to see my two kids working together to get ready for the Shabbos meal. Hinda did the dishes herself (she was so proud -- "See Mommy, I got them all shiny" and Moshe dried them and put them on the table. It was very cute. She finished a dish and called to him, "Moshe, I need you! Come now," and he came running. "Coming!" They made quite a team.
Does this last? She seems to really relish the adult responsibility of doing dishes. And she's good at it! We had a nice birthday cake tonight and sang her happy birthday with two lit candles, one for her birthday and one for good luck.
