Sam,

You're still reading a lot into it. I think the document was pretty specific
about targeting the recruiters not the recruitees. It did specify who the
recruitees might be, but never that they should be targeted.

Do I think that the extreme right is getting what they deserve, do an
extent, yes. They've been sheltered by the previous administration and his
party, and if your are a proponent of acts of subversion or terror, and yes
blowing up abortion clincs is a terrorist act, then the government should
watch your activities very closely...

Now..

Should this authority be used to lean on, pressure, crush or cover up
organizations that the administration in power is or is not in favor of,
absolutely not.. and I think this is crux of the argument. There were
organizations that were being glossed over by the previous administration
and now they are being pushed into the spotlight that they deserve to be in,
and they're yanking on the coattails of the politicians that they road to
power.

This is a very powerful mandate and it must be applied with an even hand or
not applied at all.

In 2001 there was a list of organizations known for terrorist
activity. Not vegetarians because they might jopin PETA. Then came the
wire taps
on phone calls with known foreign terrorists, not just people that
make long distance phone calls.

Now the target is the potential recruits and no mention of specific
terrorist groups.
And the left is now happy because the half of the country targeted
didn't vote for 0bama.

If your arguments is we got what we deserved, don't forget you were
probably against this when it only targeted terrorists. You're
supposed to be more upset not less.

I'm not concerned that I'm on 0bama's watch list, my issue is why
there's suddenly no outrage and why if 0bama was supposed to bring the
country together why did he racially and politically segregate us?
