Because I like you, I'll try one more time just to see if it's that you can't understand or refuse to understand: (1.) The US banking **system** (<-key word) is insolvent. (and probably the World's) (2.) This is because the **system's** assets are far below the **system's** liabilities. (3.) There are about 8000 banks in the US. Only a tiny fraction of them are truly in trouble **when considered individually** (<- key concept. Think of a chain with some very bad links) (4.) That tiny fraction control 80% of assets. (5.) Net-net: the government MUST own THE SYSTEM since if a large bank fails it'll take **the system** down. Now, let's say you owned - not by choice - a whole block of houses that people lived in. And let's say you knew the only way you could get your money was to sell them but nobody wanted to buy so you know you'd have to hold them awhile. And let's say you decided to upgrade all of them to make sure that they were prime condition if someone came along to buy. And let's say that 1 or 2 of the home owners said they didn't want to do the upgrades for whatever reason. Well, you'd be an idiot to let their individual reasons undermine both your individual asset, but also the rest of your assets on that street. So you'd tell them to piss off. Or, if you're an idiot, you wouldn't. So which are you Robert? A smart guy who would protect his assets he reluctantly owns or an idiot? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:295395 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
