I don't like web interface for discussion forums... It is just so much harder to quickly read through all the new posts... so much more clicking required. No... I don't think anything like that would work. I'm sure this is more complex because of the e-mail interface to the lists. But, at least for the messages in the database, it should be fairly simple for some people with the appropriate roles to change the database identifiers that associate messages with lists. Changing that data would change what list to which the message belongs.
