Sounds like a cool class. To bad I'm 3000 miles away at the other end
of Interstate 80.

Well, from my e-mail client's point of view I would be nice if I could
mark replies to a parent message as already read. So that some long
running topics, or branches of topics, that I am no longer interested in
can be boxed away in the back shelf but where it can be retrieved if I
later decide to delve into the thread. I'm not 100% sure how that would
translate to a web interface, but maybe it gives you some ideas.

Just as long as it is just for fun, I'm more then willing to provide
some user testing services if ya like.
