Yup. one wonders how this could even happen with today's technology. It's like...well it's there....guy walks around..makes a coffee...read sthe news...looks again...Whoops! It's not there.. :-\
I think a lot of these air traffic towers etc. etc. really do not have the latest technology. There should be some World Air Safety organisation that everybody dumps money into and all the ATC systems and towers are upgraded worldwide.
