I worked in the industry for 10 years and led an industry group to explore just this kind of thing. For example I piloted a program to protect a/c from stinger missiles. The bottom line is this: passengers aren't willing to pay for incremental safety over what exists in the marketplace today. It's great to be all idealistic until you actually have to do things and pay for them. The average passenger has decided that all these extra devices just aren't worth it. Then, compare the rate of a/c deaths to the roads. I think the death toll over Memorial Day weekend just in my state was about 20; in 2 days! If you want to save people in transit, start with the roads. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
