And to wrench on a an a/c requires an A&P license and compliance with a federally approved maintenance program. And to do it on the A330 that went down requires an A&P license, compliance with the regular maintenance program, and compliance with an ETOPS maintenance program. Every person that touched that a/c is documented and signed off on everything they did including the procedures they used.
