You write quick bullet points with the pen as it's recording your voice, then you just go back and click the areas on the page when you want to hear what you were talking about during that period. You could also export the audio at that point and have someone else type it up. Also there is pdf export of the writing. You can also upload the whole document along with audio to livescribe servers and send an invite to someone so they can see your chicken scratches online and click around on the document just like you would on your notebook.
