Just so ya know (most people don't) - in every state on most roads bicycles have the same rights to the lane as a vehicle does. The sidewalk is the LEAST safe place for a bicyclist to ride statistically and no self-respecting roadie biker would give up their right to the lane. You are technically supposed to follow the same rules for passing them as passing cars! On my commute here I am lucky to be able to take a REAL bike path most of the way and have it be shorter than taking the road (its still impassable due to snow). There is one road I am too chicken to ride on during rush hour (no one does) but other than this road I take my lane. > Still at $1.49 gas is cheap. In fact considering the total cost of > owning a car. Gas is a minimal expense. you could own a cheaper car ;-) - I won't buy a vehicle that puts me seriously in the hole. Its just transportation to me. Now, I would spend 2 1/2 K on a bike but thats for joy I guess it depends on your commute - it could be substantial. ______________________________________________________________________ Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
