We can't (and shouldn't) invade Iran, we don't have a great deal of economic or diplomatic leverage with them owing to the fact we've called them part of the Axis of Evil for the past many years...really, what can we do? We can decry the violence, we can say we support self determination and try and keep an active eye on the area. That's about it as far as I'm aware.
