Selling copier paper, definitely not.
Selling clothing, probably not.

Selling cosmetics and hair care products, some of which are targeted
specifically to very small populations, often broadly falling along racial
lines, might make sense.

Of course, as with all stereotypes, reality often falls outside the nice
pretty lines. An old ugly Jewish man with a strong Brooklyn accent, in
Florida old-man clothes, smelling of baby powder and liver and onions but
with a good rap could probably sell me a skateboard before an inarticulate
6'2" blond Swedish goddess without a brain in her head. Good sales is good
sales, it often doesn't matter the audience or the product.

Ask Revlon how their spokesmodel has been doing for them (answer - awesome)
