People Magazine had a photo spread last week with pictures of MJ over
the years. It was simply stunning to see how his skin uniformly got
lighter over the years. Again, not like any case of vitiligo I have
seen. I am not a dermatologist, but being in EMS or hospital settings
for almost 25 years, I saw a lot of people with the disease.

I would not call Chris' wife vain or a coward. Celebrities are
different. Celebrities are sued to being in the spotlight and most, if
not all, enjoy it or need it. MJ had the opportunity to reach an
audience almost no other person on earth could have reached, and he
decided not to. That is what disappoints and to a degree, angers me.
To be given that kind of stage, to be able to reach that many people,
and chose not to use it for the benefit of others befuddles me.

I will have to admit one thing I just thought of (and shame on you
guys for not finding this gaping hole in my rant). Its entirely
possible (and very likely) that his behavior was driven more by the
abuse suffered at the hand his father than anything else. I still
think he blew an opportunity to make a difference, but I feel, now,
its excusable when you factor in what years of abuse from someone who
is supposed to love you can do to a person.
