It's funny you mention Latin America. I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in Lima, Peru, and he reminded me that I paid for a hotel a few years ago and at the last minute my vacation plans were scrubbed, but the hotel reservation is still good (he is friends with the owner). So he suggested I come there since I have a room paid for for two weeks, so it looks like I might be heading South of the border.
