>From February 26 to May 29, 2001, Moussaoui attended flight training courses at Airman Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma. Despite 57 hours of flying lessons, he failed and left without ever having flown solo. This school was visited by Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi, who piloted planes into the north and south towers of the World Trade Center respectively. During his time in Norman, Moussaoui had a roommate named Hussein al-Attas. On August 11, 2001, Hussein al-Attas drove Moussaoui to Minnesota from Oklahoma. Moussaoui allegedly received $14,000 in wire transfers from Binalshibh, originating from Düsseldorf and Hamburg, Germany, in early August. This money could have helped him pay for flight training about two weeks later at Pan-Am International Flight Academy in Eagan, Minnesota. On August 13, Moussaoui paid $6,800 with $100 bills to receive training in a 747-400 simulator. ------------------ You won't be surprised that I (not kidding) worked in that very building with that very equipment here and there for ... 10 years. It's about 15 minutes from my house. But see, there's the thing. Let's say when Bush took office he commissioned a team to detail all threats foreign and domestic. We know UBL would've been at the top of the list, at least from the CIA perspective. So let's say Bush or his national security adviser actually asked why. We know what Richard Clark would've told them. And let's say the NSA would've asked for a "vectors" analysis on the feared attack - that analysis that eventually generated the UBL PDB. Clearly one of those vectors would've been student visas. Let's say back in Feb the FBI, CIA, and others would've started verifying them. Big job. But there'd have been some motivation to do it. Would that have caught Moussaoui, Atta, or any of the others? Maybe. Would their interrogation have prevented 9/11? Maybe. But the point is, none of those questions were even asked. And that's the problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
