and the event that all the conservatives were up in arms about had more to do with education than football and politics together.
C'mon Hatton, I want to hear some outrage! They're using school funds to bus these kids to an event with a political figure chairing it. Did the school district provide transportation to the Obama speech? Did they provide a place inside the school where kids could opt-in to the speech? Was there anywhere in the district that had a school sponsored location of the speech? No to all of these. Yet, the school is providing transportation and being an active sponsor of the Bush event. Seriously, you don't see the difference? I would bet that the school didn't send a permission slip home for the Obama speech, but probably relied on the parents to send an opt-in note to the school. More than likely, they did send a permission slip home for the Bush event. On Sep 9, 2009, at 3:26 PM, C.
