Not sure which videos you are referring to, but I know of 2 current scandals associated with ACORN.
There is the voter fraud allegations in Florida, and the people involved are being prosecuted. I think the ACORN offices in that area should also be either closed down, or every thing they do should be closely reviewed from now on - they lost the benefit of the doubt. There is the "help me with my prostitution business" "sting" that was attempted in multiple states. My understanding of that is that 6 offices turned them away, and only one office tried to "help". I think that speaks well of the organization as a whole, but definitely raises questions about that office (and its structure, management, and oversite all the way up the chain.) I would like to have seen a similar sting put in place as a control (Kawanis clubs, Walmart coffee breaks, PTA meetings, and beauty parlors.). I think you would find that there is a disgusting segment of our population that would fall for that sting all over the country, at a variety of institutions. And they all suck. I hope that those women at that ACORN office can be prosecuted for Government fraud, or some charge. They epitomize one of the major problems with any public aid - people not only willing to abuse it, but willing to help others. (People that cheat on their taxes, people that run red lights when no one is looking, and people that profiteer off public money are also right up there on my list. And people that smoke in no smoking areas. I hate them, too. And Kanye, of course) On Tue, Sep 15, 2009 at 9:06 PM, Bruce Sorge <[email protected]> wrote: > > I mean really, the proof is in the videos.
