ACORN's sin is that they register voters that the right-wing
conservatives do not want in the voting booth.  So they must be
destroyed by any means necessary.   I know, from personal experience,
that the anti-war and civil rights movements were heavily infiltrated
by government plants whose sole purpose was to create chaos and commit
acts of violence to discredit the movements so I wouldn't put it past
some of the right-wingers to pose as activists, get jobs at ACORN and
then deliberately commit acts that make the organization look bad.
