I do.

It's kinda like old SNL: some of the skits weren't so funny when you
first say them, but were much funnier to talk about later.

As to healthcare ...

The problem is out-of-control supply side costs (doctors, labs,
pharma, DME, etc) and I won't be changing that position.

It's happened in every industry the government has failed to properly
regulate, most recently seen in the airlines.  The debate in the late
70s was that deregulation will kill people.  Same at the healthcare
debate.  and the solution to prevent death was more government.
Reagan was elected and de-regulated.

Now you've got twice the flights, it's never been safer to fly, and
they cost half as much.  That's the power of capitalism.

So with healthcare if you want half the providers, botched care, at
double the cost the government is the way to go.

If you want to cut supply-side costs then we have to repeat our
success in the 80s and get the government our of operations:

* let gov't do what they're best at: setting market standards.

* let business do what it's best at: best product for the lowest cost.

The idea that healthcare is special and so violates that rule is as
false as the "new economy" that just keeps risin
