Texas. The Independent State. The "we don't need a government
telling us what to do" state.

We had a case where a divorced father got drunk and forced his
daughters to watch porn. He's a douchebag. No doubt. There's a law
in Texas that allows the parents or guardians to allow kids to watch
porn as long as the parent/guardian is around.

Since this story broke, there's a representative pushing to have the
law changed and make it illegal. The poll on the radio station site
shows 70% agreement with this. I'm flabbergasted. This is
Texas...remember the people that reject big government. I'm curious
if the poll were about whether parents could refuse medical treatment
for their kids based on religious beliefs (sorry LRS!), if we'd have
the same 70% agreement.

Hypocrites.....that's all they are.

Really, do we really need to make a law because of one douchebag? Any
family court judge could easily rectify this situation.
