I actually thought about this more and read some more opinions and I'm squarely on the side that going for it was the right call. The numbers seem to be on his side as well.
His mistakes were incorrectly using his timeout that lead up to that situation and not letting the colts score earlier. I mean if you are going to use the argument that you want to win or lose with Brady then might as well let them score really quick and give Brady a shot.
