hmmmm......I don't have that issue.  I run several windows vm's on my desktop 
which I access via vnc and it's just like sitting in front of real box.  The 
servers that I administer locally don't have a lag either through Remote 
Desktop.  The servers that are at a remote location do have a lag though.
