Are you talking about the CFBuilder stand-alone install, or the
CFBuilder Eclipse plugin install?

For the later, they have no control of your JVM set up. For the
former, there's no reason they can't set the JVM up however they'd
like.

Why don't you mind tweaking the java based server for your needs, but
mind tweaking the java based IDE? =)

Bottom line tho, you shouldn't need to, at least for the stand-alone install.

The logic for going with an Aptana base was strong. I would have
preferred a different approach too, but using Eclipse is pretty smart,
IMHO. Especially considering Hibernate is the ORM.

A lot of potential, with this route.

And there's always CFE, which you can help make however cool you like. Heh.

Give 'em some time. If they can get anywhere near the way the Java
editing works in Eclipse, it'll knock your socks off.

You haven't programmed until you've programmed in a bad-ass IDE.
Knowing how to "notepad it" is an important skill, but I wouldn't do
it on a daily basis unless I had no other option.
