Yeah, 5.9 in NorCal is much different than a 7.0 in Port Au Prince. It
also makes a big difference how deep the quake is located and how fast
the period of shaking is. A shallower, high frequency quake will be
different than a deep low frequency quake even if they are both the
same magnitude.
