Some goals of increasing the House: 1. Break the two party stranglehold on Congress. 2. Limit the influence of big donors on elections and subsequent legislation. 23x more people in office makes it far more expensive to buy House votes. 3. Get back in touch with local issues. 4. Increase opportunities for political office for women and people of color. 5. Increase representation for poor communities. Poor communities rural and urban alike are under-represented in Congress. Smaller districts means more opportunities for such communities to be represented by a voice of their own.
