We work together at Navy Federal. Lorenzo mentioned to me that you do programming-related work and that youd be a good person to talk to for possible help with a few things. Im looking to start a company that lets music artists easily develop their own mobile apps through which they sell and market music, media and merch to fans. I see many opportunities in the mobile space for the music industry. The application would entail a content management system that the user logs into to create their app in several steps. They then make it available for download to their fans. Their cms would stream mp3s, twitter feeds, photos and other media to their app, which would appear on their fans mobile devices. It would let bands market and sell directly to their fans and form real-time networks. Its a big project that would require Angel money at some point to give it momentum. I have connections to several people that could make that possible down the road. Right now though, Im in a bit of a catch-22. We need to build a prototype to raise money, but we need money to build a prototype. Im not an experienced enough coder to develop something significant. Im looking for a technical co-founder who could partner with us to develop this app in exchange for equity. Currently, its myself and a good friend from college whos a CS guy, but not a coder. I was wondering if you might know of a programmer who might be interested in this type of thing. If so, Id love to discuss.
