Not the most helpful error message... :)

I like to clear all the logs, and then cause the error, to see if
something seemingly unrelated pops up.

Maybe something like this stuff will help:

Add-ons are probably the culprit, like Dana mentioned.

Hopefully.  :)

Looks like you can also re-install 8 if that doesn't work.
