It's been a rough few years, and bad management decisions haven't helped. Bush showed it to me on the continental scale, and oddly, I got a good dose of it on the local scale at around the same time. Being a gorilla fighter for most my time here, I'd never appreciated that bad management could outdo even the most valiant. I still believe one person can make the difference, but sometimes it's a lot more work than sitting on the buss, so to speak. I'd probably have just bailed out of the whole deal a bit ago (when upper management sabotaged me (us!) this last time) , but thanks to medical stuff with the wife and child, I feel like I have to have solid health insurance, and at least that's decent where I'm at. I don't blame others for my choices tho. One thing I know, is that there's always options. I'm a creature of habit, and I'm fine with that. If I don't like something, I can change it. Amazingly empowering, that thought. About being able to change stuff? Yeah. It's harder to change what you don't know about tho, so I, like Dana, give props to Obama (this administration!) for doing *fucking oodles* more than the last administration towards transparency. Anyways, I couldn't have cared less about health insurance being tied to an employer, and a lot of other crap, before I was beholden to. Funny how timing works, I dare say. Three cheers for America!
